Hi Everyone,

Club Opening Hours over the Holiday Period

Please see above for when the club will be open and closed over the Christmas and New Year period.  Also, please see below for what is happening with bowls over that period.

The Ladies will have their last Wednesday bowls day on 8 December, and will recommence again on Wednesday 12 January 2022.  During the period 8 December to 12 January, the standard Tuesday 3 bowls triples competition will become an Open competition and Ladies are invited to play Tuesdays, except when the game will be played on Wednesday 29 December instead of the Tuesday.

New COVID Restrictions – 17 December 2021

Just a reminder about the new COVID Restrictions commencing 17 December 2021.

As of 17 December 2021, people must be fully vaccinated (two COVID shots) to enter our club, including the club house (inside and outside) and playing bowls.

Please ensure you have information on hand to verify you have been vaccinated.  This maybe your Qld Check In App with your Vaccination Certificate attached, or a soft copy or hard copy of your Vaccination Certificate.

We ask all members to show their proof of vaccination to either a staff member, games office person, or other Board or Bowling Arm person when you arrive at the club.

Please see the Queensland Government website for more information.

Christmas Raffles

Tickets are on sale now for the Mega Christmas Raffle.  There are 3 x Hamper with a Ham, 3 x Xmas Toy with a Ham and 2 x bottle of Xmas Liqueur.

Tickets are just $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.  Available at the Bar.   They will be drawn in the evening on Thursday 23 December.  Winners will be notified.

The Perfect Christmas Present !

Are you stuck for what to get the special someone in your life who has everything?

Don’t waste your money on a gift card from BWS or Bunnings or BCF and Dan Murphy’s.  That is so mundane.

Get them something they will really love and buy them a Club Voucher for Christmas.  They can spend it on a new club shirt or any of the club merchandise, a game of bowls, a meal from the Bistro or a few ice cold beverages from the bar.  Does life get any better than that?

Just see the Bar staff to buy a Club Voucher.

Special General Meeting – Monday 13 December 2021, 7.00pm

A reminder about the Special General Meeting to discuss and vote on the purchase via lease of two new Pokie Machines, the first machine immediately and the second machine in the mid of 2022.   Please see the email of 26 November for more information.

Renewal of Memberships for 2022

The club would really appreciate it if members could renew your membership by 15 December.  The membership fee is just $130 and you can pay by cash or credit card to the bar staff. Please try and pay when the Bar is not so busy.

You can also pay online, please just include your name and membership number as a reference.  Details are on the Renewal form.

Renewal forms for all members are available from the office or the bar if you do not have yours yet.
